This is a booming place  that has always been extremely appealing and that value continues to rise day by day. With that said, there are some mistakes that are being made by home buyers all the time. Those mistakes could translate to thousands of dollars in loss and missed opportunities to get the best property for your budget.

Today, we are going to be talking about 10 costly mistakes that people are making when they are buying a home in Hawaii and how you can easily avoid them.

Mistake #1 - Not Getting Pre-Approved For a Mortgage

This is often an issue with home buyers who seem to be confident that they will get a loan, but things don’t end up working as they expected. The main issue with looking for homes without being pre-approved for a mortgage is that it might end up being a waste of your time if you don’t know what you can afford and what kind of loan options are available.

Also, most sellers and their agents require a pre-approval letter to be attached with the offer. If you don’t have one they will most likely assume that you are not a serious buyer and will give a priority to other home buyers.
